From past experiences, you will agree with me that, no online app store seems to be secure as we thought. Last time almost 500 apps were reported to be infected by malware on google play store and but the report about how many phones that was infected was not reported.
To fight this kind of problem, google has started pushing out an amazing new update to it popular play store apps that bring improved detection and filtering systems. Many developers have tried manipulating the placement of their apps through illegal means like fraudulent installs, fake reviews, and incentivized ratings.
From a blog post that that was made by the company, it says
“These attempts not only violate the Google Play Developer Policy but also harm our community of developers by hindering their chances of being discovered or recommended through our systems.”
With the change that being rolled out the company says, they will be able to better detect and filter any install conducted with the intention to manipulate apps placement on play store.
The further added that any developer that is found doing this repeatedly could also have their apps been taken down from google play store
