from a new update it has been confirmed that the news is legit, google+ account is no more a prior condition to post reviews on applications on google play store.
This comes over an year after Google disconnected Google+ from YouTube. “People have told that accessing all of their Google stuff with one account makes life a whole lot easier,” the company had said at that time. “But we’ve also heard that it doesn’t make sense for your Google+ profile to be your identity in all the other Google products you use.”
On news coming from googles page, it says “A G+ profile no longer needed to post a review”
