Subscribers from several locations has made the confirmation on Glo 4G network being available on LTE Band 3(1800). Glo 4G frequency was only running on Band 28(700), which is not available on many Android phones in Nigeria.

Any 4G enabled phone can now suff on Glo 4G LTE. Glo is in to gain more subscribers. Though there has not been any official statement from Globacom themselves, In a February 2019 press statement from the company, Globacom’s Group Technical Director, Sanjib Roy, stated and I quote
The national operator is indeed deploying 4G LTE services on band 3(1800) “in major cities” to increase the network’s 4G LTE penetration.
This is the perfect news millions of Nigerians have bee waiting for as we all know that Globacome has the cheapest data plan in Nigeria currently. Many Nigerians whose phones do not have LTE Band 28 frequency are also in deep celebration right now. The establishment of Globacom’s Band 3 is kinda slow now but am sure it will widen quickly over the next coming months.
