The problem started at exactly 4Am and lasted till around 12 PM today. A whole lot of Airtel subscribers lamented in in betterness because of this very issue on Airtel telecom twitter handle.
Airtel, on the other hand, has also taking on twitter to apologize to their subscribers about what happened and have promised to work so their subscribers will not face such a thing again.
To make sure their subscribers fully apologize, Airtel has is giving out free 200MB to all their subscribers as compassion for yesterday network issue.
I received this message just a few minutes ago, I checked and saw that I was giving free 200MB to browse the internet.
Dear Customer, We sincerely apologize for the downtime on our internet service earlier today. As a gesture of appreciation for the inconvenience you have been credited with 200MB bonus data valid for 2days. Pls restart your device to enjoy seamless browsing on the Smartphone network. Thank you for choosing Airtel
